Bible — We believe the Bible (both Old and New Testaments) is God’s complete message to us. Writers over many centuries were inspired by God to write exactly what He wanted us to know.
God — We believe in one God who has existed eternally in three distinct persons; revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus — We believe Jesus Christ to be the incarnate Son of God; preexisting with and as God. Born of a virgin, Jesus lived in full human flesh; neither ever losing his full deity. As one who was without sin, Jesus died to render powerless the damage of the sins of humanity. His body was buried after death, rose again after His burial, and He returned to God the Father.
Holy Spirit — We believe the Holy Spirit was sent after Jesus’ return to heaven to reside within the lives of all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit encourages our faith, guides us in truth, glorifies Jesus, convicts us of our sin, issues spiritual gifts, and reveals to us God’s righteousness. The Holy Spirit also is our source of comfort and empowerment for daily living.
Humanity — We believe that all people were created in the image of God to be in fellowship with Him. Humanity has broken its relationship with God due to our own sinful disobedience. That rift made humanity incapable of restoring their relationship with God on their own merit; thus initiating God’s plan to redeem humanity back to Himself.
Salvation — We believe due to humanity’s sin God then sent His only Son to earth to live a sinless life. By the shedding of Jesus’s blood on the cross, His sinless life could redeem the debt of our sin. His resurrection from death rendered our spiritual and eternal death powerless restoring our relationship once again with God. Salvation cannot be earned in any way. It is purely the selfless gift offered to us by God for us to choose to receive.
The Church — We believe in one Church, the Body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the Head. God has purposed the collective Church to bring God glory by loving Him through obedience, loving others through unity, and sharing the Hope of Jesus Christ to the rest of the world.
Eternity — We believe that what we experience here on earth is only part of our future. We believe Jesus will return once again to establish His eternal kingdom. We also believe how our eternity after we die here on earth will be determined, heaven or hell, on our personal decision of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
